Shipt

Shipt delivers groceries to your door. What they don't always include is your favorite football player too. Unless, of course, you live in Detroit, where we helped Shipt make touchdown this fall. 

CHALLENGE

We had just a couple hours with Detroit Wide Receiver Golden Tate, but the man was on a mission to make his fans' day. 

The challenges were many: introduce Detroit to a totally new service, show off the app, and deliver groceries to four separate homes...all in two hours.

Good thing they call us Fancy Rhino.

APPROACH

We canvassed the whole city of Detroit to target loyal Meijer shoppers and superfans of the Detroit Lions. We got over 100 responses from this cross-section, and got to work on-boarding folks who represented the real problems that Shipt is here to solve.

Thankfully, Shipt is a service people really need. From the Samson Family of seven to stroke victim Idelma, people from all walks of life could just use some help picking up the groceries.

"As a stroke survivor, 30 minutes in the store is like 3 hours running a marathon. I'm exhausted by the time I get home. To have a service like this, doing all the manual labor of picking up my groceries and delivering them to me... Great!" –Idelma

We were glad to bring on a wide receiver to race time and deliver the groceries these families needed for Game Day. 

RESULTS

You can see the results on these families' faces. On top of free groceries, they got to meet one of their heroes. 

And in just one month, the video accumulated nearly 100,000 views on YouTube.

BOTTOM LINE

Create opportunities to show the love. When the service is this good, let the characters play themselves.
